The Mount Olive Kiwanis and Girl Scout Troop #2263 are holding a DIAPER DRIVE for the younger victims of Hurricane Katrina. The focus is on diapers and wipes, but we will also collect other items for infants and toddlers. The Flanders collection point is Ropp Family Chiropractic 973-927-8120, located 193 Route 206 N, Bldg 2. The Budd Lake collections point is Chepi Chepi, Inc. 973-426-9993, located 100 US Highway 46. Initial donations have included diapers, wipes, nonperishable foods, toys, over a dozen large bags of clothing, a high chair, a stroller, a changing table, and more.
"Other organizations are collecting emergency items such as water and food," said Club President Brian Siegelwax, "so our focus is on collecting other items that are still very much needed and affect young children."
